Vonage Voicemail is turned on as soon as your Vonage service is activated, even if your Vonage adapter is not installed. Turn Voicemail on and off from your Online Account and also set the number of seconds that an incoming call rings before Voicemail picks up.
When you pick up the phone connected to your Vonage service and hear a stutter tone, this indicates you have new Voicemail messages. Listen to your messages in your Online Account, on the phone, or from an email.
Set Voicemail Notification to receive notice of new Voicemail messages by email and text message. Choose also to receive messages as an audio (.wav) file or transcription (Visual Voicemail).

From an email
You can set your Voicemail Notification to receive notice of new Voicemail messages by email, with an audio (.wav) file of the message attached. You can also receive a transcription of the message (Visual Voicemail) by email and text message (SMS).
Voicemail Notification is set up in your Online Account on the Voicemail Settings tab of the Features & Settings section.
On the phone
After listening to a Voicemail message, press 3 to delete it. If a message is not deleted, it is saved for 30 days.
In Online Account
You have the option of hearing your Voicemail prompts in English, Spanish or both. Your Voicemail language is automatically set based on your language preference.
When you call Voicemail, the initial prompts are in your preferred language, but once you enter your PIN, you are prompted to press 1 if you want to use your second language for that session only. If you have a single language (English only or Spanish only), you are not prompted to use a different language.
See Customize Voicemail if you would like to change these settings.
Depending on your location, you can call your Voicemail from outside of your local calling area without incurring long distance charges by using a Voicemail Local Access Number. These numbers are available for many area codes in the U.S., Canada, UK, Ireland, Mexico, Spain and France.
You can change your greetings, name announcement, and the language used for your Voicemail prompts on the phone. See Customize Voicemail for details.
