Vonage recently updated and revised our Privacy Policy effective November 8, 2006.

Why did the Privacy Policy change?
Our Privacy Policy was primarily updated to address with more specificity, the categories of your information provided or collected and how your information is used, in addition to updating you on certain privacy-related policies that we have adopted for your benefit.
What has changed?
- An explanation of our treatment of different types of information and instructions for opting out of our use of such information for direct marketing communications about benefits, offers, products, features and services.
- An expansion of the privacy policy to include the information of potential customers who have communicated, made contact or interacted with us.
- A differentiation between non-personally and personally identifiable information, because we treat different types of information differently.
- Clarification that any provision of your personally identifiable information to third parties is limited to enabling our vendors and contractors to provide and assist us in the marketing and provision of services and products to you and others.
- Clarifications regarding our use of certain internet tools (i.e., cookies) and non-personally identifiable information.
In addition, our anti-spyware policy is now included and policy regarding the protection of your Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI).
Many things in our policy have not changed; for example, we do not provide your information to third parties without your consent, subject to very limited exceptions detailed in the Policy, and we continue to obey all laws and regulations in the United States applicable to our use and disclosure of your information.
Are you selling my information?
No. Vonage does not sell, barter or exchange your information with third parties for their use. We clarify in the Policy that the only third parties who may have access to or use your information are the vendors and contractors we retain to provide and assist us in the marketing and provision of our offers, services and products to you, who are also subject to strict confidentiality obligations.
How do the changes to your Privacy Policy impact me?
Our Privacy Policy, as revised, is extended not only to our customers, but to people who have communicated, made contact or interacted with us. Our Privacy Policy provides additional, important information relevant to the use and protection of your information and enhances our ability to offer new benefits, offers, products, features and services to you. If you prefer that we not use your information for such direct marketing communications, you can opt-out of such uses as directed in the Policy.
Will the revised policy change anything on my account or change my current choice on receiving marketing communications from you?
No.
What if I am not a Vonage customer and I want to opt out from direct marketing communications?
A person who is not a current Vonage customer has the same opt out options as a current Vonage customer. If you prefer that we not use your information for direct marketing communications about benefits, offers, products, features and services to you, you can opt-out of such uses as directed in the Policy.
What does it mean for me to opt out?
It means that we will not use your personally identifiable information for direct marketing purposes. It also means that you will not receive new offers of benefits, features, savings, products and services from us.
Suppose I want email contact, but not telephone contact?
When opting out of receiving direct marketing communications about our benefits, offers, products, features and services, a person can choose not to be contacted at all for such purposes, or can choose not to be contacted in certain ways only (i.e. opt out of phone, mail or email communications for such purposes). If you are interested in opting out, you can specify which kind of communications from which you wish to opt out.
How do I opt out?
If you prefer that we not use your information for direct marketing communications about our benefits, offers, products, features and services to you, you can opt-out of such uses by calling us at 1-VONAGE-HELP (1-866-243-4357). You can also email us with your opt out request at
